This year was a bit cooler than years past which was nice. All together we had 100 runners start the 10 and 20k and 21 kids run the half mile race.
Once again we couldn't have pulled off this event without all the support of our volunteers and community. Once again, Sadie played a huge part in cooking most of the food. Special thanks to Rowen Gorman, Lynn Bradford, Fionna Wolf, Michelle Pugh, Wyatt Lawrence and Nicki Gidden-McQuade for helping out with food prep, delivery and happy faces. Thanks to Annette Johnston, Becky Mills and Tulle for working the finish line. Annette again and Martha Bryan for morning registration. Thanks to Harry for helping runners find their way around our bumpy fields to park. Thanks to Ian Campbell for getting the kids snacks out and for getting them all registered for the race. Thanks to Barry Hill for driving his side-by way out back for safety, checking runners as they went by and pulling signs on the way out. Thanks to Tim Barry Sr., Kal Bradford, Harry, Matt Wolf, Ethan Niederer, Ira O'Meara, Christine Taylor and karen Wolf for keeping runners from falling in ditches, going the wrong way, lurching over seaweed crevices, getting run over by cars or ending up in somebodies backyard. And thanks to My parents, Tom and Elaine Gagner and Dave Nutter for giving relief to the 20k runners at the aid station, and getting splits.
Definitely don't forget our sponsors,
who paid dearly for all this to happen;
River and Trail for a big box of loot for raffle prizes and their tent
Salomon for their generous donation of $250 for some pretty sweet prizes and for shipping their tent all the way from Halifax.
And lastly to the folks in our community from whom we got most of our food from
