2018 Herring Run results
and remember, July 7th 2019 is the date for next years race
Reggies open Feb 1!
We have so many people to thank this year for the Hot, but successful 6th annual Herring Run. Thanks to Angela with Maritime Paramedic for providing emergency services. And for all the volunteers who shuffled ice to the water jugs, manned the aid station in the back field, helped racers on the course go the right way and recorded times for the racers. Extra big thanks go to Sue Stroud and Hide Kaneko for prepping and managing all the food, To Kelsey Hogan for putting on the Pooh suit and sweating it out on that hot day to lead the kids races and to Michele Poirier for helping me rebuild that first bridge.
We had a wicked fast 10k mens CR this year set by Evan Arsenault on a longer course by ~200m! This may stay for a while. All first finishers in fact set a course record this year due to the longer course.
And for the 20k it was a close race the whole time. Joël, Shelley and Ethan ran together the whole time except the last 200m or so. Very exciting to watch!
